Bill's Bio
Bill's background has prepared him for a unique blend of career paths.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at Purdue University and followed it up with a Master of Science in Industrial Administration at the Krannert Graduate School of Management, also at Purdue.
He also spent four years in radio, including a year as a producer and on-air talent at WBAA, the Voice of Purdue.
For the next seventeen years he worked for a number of corporations, including Corning Glass Works and National Semiconductor, in marketing, sales, and management. His experience spans the glass, electronic materials, semiconductor, defense, and composite materials industries.
After a while Bill realized that it was time for a change and he decided to break out on his own, combining his business experience with his love of being behind the microphone.
He has been a freelance Voice Talent since 1998, specializing in corporate narration, with a special focus on technology-based topics. Always the marketing guy, he developed his own brand as The Technical Narrator.
Bill's management experience led him to become a part of three association boards, including one at the international level. As Treasurer of the Media Communications Association - International he developed a reputation as a strong strategist and numbers guy.
In addition, his voice and stage presence have resulted in invitations to emcee a number of events, including the Helios Awards, the Protos Awards, and the Golden Reel Awards, an international video and multimedia competition.
Bill now offers his expertise, not only as a Voice Talent, but also from the platform as a speaker and emcee. In addition to speaking on strategic topics, he also consults with businesses and associations to help them develop and implement coherent and effective strategies.
